The Tar Heels mightâve had a somewhat contentious NCAA Tournament run last month, but there’s absolutely nothing the least bit controversial about the Air Jordan 1 High OG âUNC Reimagined.â It is, without question, one of the hottest sneakers of the spring.
Jordan Brandâs âReimaginedâ series has been around since 2022, and as you can probably guess from its name, it reimagines original styles and silhouettes from back in the day. It first began with the âLost & Found,â a remake of the OG âChicago.â And just a few months ago, the sneakerverse was blessed with the âBlack Toe Reimaginedâ.
Now, the beloved 1985 tribute to Michael Jordanâs alma mater is getting the âReimaginedâ treatment. But rather than simply hitting copy-and-paste, this âUNC Reimaginedâ has been specifically made to look⦠old. The upper is dripped out in cracked âSailâ leather, and the âPowder Blueâ overlays are slightly faded for a true vintage vibe. A big Swoosh is whacked across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while Jordan Brand’s mythical winged basketball emblem is stamped on the collar.
