In order to meet the demand for natural multi-benefits excipients allowing to formulate minimalist cosmetics without compromise on performance, Seppic demonstrated the immediate skin benefits of its natural origin polymer Solagum AX, an association of acacia gum and xanthan gum.
Clinical evaluation
According to the results of a clinical evaluation unveiled by Seppic, at 1% in water, Solagum AX reduces crow’s feet wrinkles, red spots and provides a softer skin. It offers a natural lifting effect, a sensation of freshness during application, a brighter and more radiant skin complexion after 30 minutes.

Solagum AX is a 100% natural, readily biodegradable multi-functional rheology modifier with better performance than Xanthan Gum alone. It better thickens and stabilizes formulas while bringing film-forming, soothing and moisturizing properties. It also imparts a better aqueous sensation with a non-stringy effect. In dermocosmetics, thanks to its higher pH and electrolytes resistance, the viscosity remains stable even with active ingredients (such as urea, glycolic acid, allantoin and aloe vera gel) or thermal waters.
