Oris and the Muppets Are Back With a Miss Piggy Watch

She’s a diva, she’s bold, she’s temperamental. And now Miss Piggy has her very own watch, courtesy of Oris.

Two years ago, Oris kicked off its partnership with the Muppets with a lime-green watch starring Miss Piggy’s Kermy. Besides its easy-being-green hue, the watch played its Kermit the Frog cards close to its vest: The famous frog’s visage featured in the date wheel, but only appeared once a month on what Oris referred to as “Kermit Day.” Now, Miss Piggy gets her own horological star turn.

The Oris ProPilot x Miss Piggy is another playful design. The dial is very hot pink and there’s a single sparkly baguette diamond at 12 o’clock. Turn the watch over, and you’ll find the prima-donna’s fierce mug gracing the rotor.

Unsurprisingly, collectors are enthusiastic about a watch that prioritizes fun over everything else. “When Oris launched the ProPilot x Kermit Edition in 2023, it felt like such a breath of fresh air,” says Anna Kubasik, creator of @Chrono.Girl.Life. “A watch that didn’t take itself too seriously but still managed to be beautifully crafted and technically impressive.”

Kubasik feels like this Miss Piggy model is the perfect evolution of the series. “She’s glamorous and unapologetically herself—everything this watch represents. The hot pink dial is as striking as her personality and the 34mm case seems perfectly proportioned for smaller wrists, making it an ideal option for women like me who often feel overlooked in the sizing of watches.” She adds that the rotor on the back is what really made her smile. “Seeing Miss Piggy’s face there is such a playful and unexpected detail. It’s the kind of thing that catches you off guard in the best way.”

Espen Haugland, better known as @orisfanboy in the watch world, thinks this new model will be popular with the brand’s fans. “And a smart move launching this model without the Sellita movement to keep it at the lowest price possible. A fully titanium PPX from Oris with a unique bracelet and a new case size for $3,200 is a really nice price point,” he says.

Following the launch of the Kermit model in 2023, fans of Oris immediately started dreaming about a watch starring the frog’s more porcine half, according to Haugland. “Oris listened to their fans as they often do, that’s surely one of the great things about Oris and their independence which I love,” he says. “On the Kermit model, they did a fun detail by swapping out the first date of the month with an avatar of Kermit himself, so I am pleasantly surprised to see they did a similar but different—yet equally funny—detail with the Oris ProPilot x Miss Piggy’s rotor.”

Haugland looking forward to seeing how well this new release will be received in the market. “The Miss Piggy model is surely meant for the more ‘feminine’ market, and its 34mm size might look really cute and fun on a small wrist. However I’m sure guys with smaller wrists could rock this design as well,” he adds.

Kubasik agrees. “I love that Oris is willing to bring this kind of joy and personality into the watch world. It’s not a watch—it’s a statement! It’s about being bold, having fun, and embracing who you are,” she says. “And honestly, who couldn’t use a bit of Miss Piggy energy in their life right now?”

Yes, we’ll happily embrace the big Miss Piggy energy to kick off 2025.
