2024 Caleb Williams Fantasy football projection
The model has locked in its 2024 Fantasy football prediction for Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. The No. 1 overall pick has shown flashes of brilliance in the preseason despite not getting many game reps with D.J. Moore or Keenan Allen. Williams completed six of 13 passes for 75 yards in Chicago’s preseason game against the Bengals, scoring a seven-yard TD run on a scramble.
Williams will also have a veteran running back joining him in the backfield, which should be beneficial for the former USC standout. D’Andre Swift signed with the Bears this offseason after rushing for 2,729 yards and 23 touchdowns in his first four NFL seasons. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft following five stellar seasons split between Arizona State and LSU. He set the FBS single-season passer rating record last season with the Tigers and ended his collegiate career as the only player in FBS history with 12,000 passing and 3,000 rushing yards.
Daniels’ rushing experience will be put to the test in his first season at the NFL level since the Commanders have a thin receiving corps. He does have the benefit of working with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who worked with Patrick Mahomes at the college level and Kyler Murray with the Arizona Cardinals. However, his best target downfield is Terry McLaurin and there are questions as to how productive Daniels will be after working with elite receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. at LSU.
