Clariant launches Aristoflex SUN to boost UV filter stability

The global specialty chemicals company has unveiled a new rheology modifier designed to tackle sunscreen formulation challenges by combining advanced stability, SPF [1] performance and luxurious sensory appeal.

Designed for sun protection products and daily UV protection, Aristoflex SUN [2] stabilizes UV filters while enabling light, fresh textures. This new rheology modifier addresses the rising demand for lightweight textures in daily SPF products.

The launch of Aristoflex SUN aligns with the growing “Skinification of sun care” trend, where SPF is increasingly integrated into daily cosmetic products for all-day UV protection. According to Clariant, the trend reflects consumer demand for multi-functional solutions that combine UV protection with diverse skin care benefits.

With the growing trend toward multi-functional skincare products, Aristoflex SUN helps formulators elevate sun care solutions with superior stability, SPF performance and sensory appeal,” said Sophia Kim, Global Marketing Manager Skin Care at Clariant. “As experts in rheology modifier technology, we deliver solutions that meet the market’s need for high-performance, protective products.

Aristoflex SUN adds thickness and texture to formulations. This pre-neutralized polymer is also cold-processable.
