2024 Fantasy football draft prep: Rankings, strategy, rookies, advice, top 150 players from NFL insiders

Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was one of the league’s biggest surprises last season and managers who were able to snag him early in the season off the Fantasy football waiver wire were rewarded handsomely. The fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft took advantage of an early injury to Cooper Kupp to become the No. 1 receiver for the Rams and finished 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. That production from a Day 3 pick is a statistical outlier, but every year there are unheralded 2024 Fantasy football rookies who make an impact.

Which first-year players are worth taking a swing on in with late 2024 Fantasy football picks? Whether you’re hunting for a 2024 Fantasy football top 150 you can trust or position-specific 2024 Fantasy football rankings that can help you identify potential 2024 Fantasy football breakouts, sleepers, and busts, be sure to see what the 2024 Fantasy Football Draft Bible at SportsLine has to say.

Top 2024 Fantasy football picks

The Fantasy football draft bible features 2024 Fantasy football breakouts, including:

Zamir White, RB, Las Vegas Raiders: A fourth-round pick out of Georgia in the 2022 NFL Draft, White was used primarily as a special-teamer in his rookie season and then emerged as Josh Jacobs’ top backup in 2023. He rushed for 451 yards and a touchdown while also catching 15 passes for 98 yards but came on incredibly strong late in the season when he moved into the starting lineup. Now he’s the No. 1 running back in Las Vegas and expectations are high.

“We know what the potential is for the lead Raiders back as we’ve seen it recently in Josh Jacobs, who finished as the second-best RB in Fantasy in 2022,” White told SportsLine. “White looked like he had similar potential in the last four games of 2023 after taking over lead back duties, with his performance equating to these numbers when extrapolated over 17 games: 357 carries, 1,687 rushing yards, 38 receptions, 255 receiving yards, and four TDs.”

Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers: A second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Watson so flashes of impressive ability when healthy over his first two seasons but missed 11 games because of hamstring injuries. However, Watson and the Green Bay medical staff did a deep dive on his injury issues this offseason and discovered that an asymmetrical stride was to blame. Now they’re hopeful that they can help combat those issues now that they know the root of the issue and he could be in for a big year in 2024.

“Hamstring injuries have plagued him over his first two seasons, but he looked like he was really starting to click with Jordan Love in his final two games last year with 12 catches for 165 yards and three TDs,” White said. “Green Bay could remain a whack-a-mole of standout Fantasy performers each week, but the one guy with the potential to turn into a WR1 is Watson, and we only need him to be top 20 to cash in on his breakout status.” Get the full Fantasy football draft guide over at SportsLine.
